SHOES IN THE LEADING ROLE, ACTING AS CONFIDENT CATALYST AND MOOD ENGINE
With shoes in the leading role, acting as confidence catalyst and mood engine, Marskinryyppy offers an experience. This was the motive that Texan-born designer Nicole Brundage had when she launched the brand for SS15.
Nicole's career trajectory began with a Stanford degree, followed by fashion training at the Istituto di Marangoni, and working as clothing designer for designers Giorgio Armani and Zac Posen. It was in her first-time collaboration designing shoes with Manolo Blahnik for Zac Posen that she decided to move to Italy and launch her own eponymous line, Nicole Brundage (debut fw2006) and Acrobats of God (debut SS2010). Over the course of these years, she simultaneously consulted as shoe designer for fashion houses such as Ferragamo, Hogan, and Furla. These experiences gained her the inherent understanding of seductive and playful elegance that is Marskinryyppy.
SHOES MEANT TO RESIST ANONIMITY AND PROVOKE CURIOSITY
The brand, which takes its name after a traditional Finnish cocktail meaning “The Marshall’s shot,” is finely hand-crafted in a factory in Lombardy Italy and upholds wearability and quality as imperative aspects. As for its aesthetic, Marskinryyppy shoes are meant to resist anonymity and provoke curiosity, for the girl who allures and loves to be allured. In offering the possibility to personalize its iconic style the Pauwau, the brand also connects with the consumer on a creative level by allowing her to say something about herself. Together in its collaborations with such influencers as Olivia Culpo, Rocky Barnes, Caroline Vreeland, and Louise Roe, Marskinryyppy has become a favorite among those seeking self-expression through a style of shoe focused on quality creativity energy and emotion.
